Its dreadful, its appalling, its devastating and my eyes and ears cannot believe what I am seeing and hearing on the news daily. The poor people of Ukraine are suffering and I consider myself, my loved ones and my colleagues extremely lucky where we live, a long way from this atrocity.
It is not in our powers to change what is going on in Ukraine right now, but I know, right now, Ukraine needs our support more than ever. We cannot stay immune and sharing compassion is simply not enough. We are all given a chance to take actions and make an impact.
I have researched the charities available and although there is many to choose from, I took action on behalf of Fine to Fabulous Salon by making a donation today to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to support the urgent needs of innocent people in Ukraine.
This appeal is run by the DEC - Disasters Emergency Committee which brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of a crisis overseas. Donations which will be doubled by the UK government up to a total of £20m.
I believe in humanity above all and I believe it can change the world.
